Behaviour Therapist

Ria Muammar, a psychology specialist and behaviour therapist. She has worked in centers for special education and learning difficulties and worked with groups of children that were diagnosed with autism, mental disabilities and developmental delays to help them learn the necessities needed to develop independent living.

Education

  • High School Certificate (Tawjihi)- 2013
  • BA in Psychology/Sociology-Birzeit University 2017
  • Qualified Autism Service Practitioner Supervisor (QASP-S) 2023-2024

Training and Practical Experience

  • Participated in the first Spring Training Camp in cooperation with Birzeit University, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Ma’an Development Center.
  • 6 month training and volunteering in centers for special education and learning
  • difficulties.
  • Kindergarten teacher for 2-5 year old children for one month.
  • Have been a teacher for classes with children with autism and mental disabilities.
  • 50 hours supervised behavioral therapy sessions (ABA)

Future Plans

I strive to be a contribution to creating a good learning environment for the children in Takween Center and to support them as much as possible to enable them to integrate into their communities, kindergartens and schools in a natural and comfortable way for them
